As a lady on-the-go and chronic snacker, I love sharing my new favorite finds with my readers. I discovered Munk Pack oatmeal fruit squeezes as one of the showcased new products at Expo East 2015. I loved the outdoorsy booth and as an oatmeal fanatic, was intrigued by the idea of oatmeal in a pouch as a snack. I later learned it's also great for hiking and running! After learning more about the brand philosophy, I'm super happy to be working with Munk Pack to fuel all of my adventures!
The scoop:
Munk Pack oatmeal fruit squeezes are vegan, non-GMO, gluten-free and made with whole grains. They also are made of BPA-free packaging. Munk Pack oatmeal fruit squeezes contain 3-4 grams of fiber each and omega 3s. The only sugar in the oatmeal fruit squeezes comes from the fruit. The pouches have a twist-off cap and then you just eat right out of the pouch. Each oatmeal fruit squeeze ranges from 90-110 calories which makes it a great small snack.The four different flavors of Munk Pack are: Apple Quinoa Cinnamon, Blueberry Acai Flax, Raspberry Coconut, and Peach Chia Vanilla.
The brand: The tag line for the brand is "on-the-go deliciousness for all of life's adventures!". I also love that their brand mascot and logo is a chipmunk which are healthy eaters and adventurous, curious little creatures. The brand believes in trust, health, respect, integrity, and commitment which all shines through in their product and all of the team members I've interacted with. The brand's vision "we see a world where happiness is cultivated through healthy eating, movement, and connection with nature" goes along with parts of my personal philosophy. I believe in running happy, dreaming big, enjoying life, and never passing up dessert, as well as healthy eating & surrounding yourself with nature.
Why I'm a fan:
I love how convenient and tasty these are as well as the fact that they are something different from a bar. One of my favorite things is that these don't need to be refrigerated unless you open it and want to save the rest for later. I keep one stashed in my backpack or purse for when I'm on the go or need to eat something as I'm rushing out the door to class in the mornings. I've also heard of them being used as fuel for ultra-running. I've taken the on hikes, eaten them before longer runs, and even taken on a long run as a snack.
All of the flavors are so distinct and delicious, but I think the raspberry coconut and blueberry acai flax are my favorites! I was worried about the texture being weird, but it's not as chunky as I had imagined it would be so it slurping it down doesn't bother me-it's similar to those applesauce pouches that are sold. I also love that I can throw these in my backpack or running belt, and I won't have to worry about it getting soggy or crumbling.
Besides the product, I think the brand's philosophy for active adults really aligns with some of my personal beliefs as I mentioned before. I also love that it's a snack I can use for really all of my adventures in life whether that is running, travelling, or just trying to make it through another day of graduate school. I'll definitely be taking some on my trip to Asheville!
