Fit Fab Fuel Swap 2014 Reveal

One of my favorite parts of the holidays is giving and receiving cards and gifts.  Of course I was really excited to participate in the Fit, Fab, & Fuel Holiday Swap hosted by Running with SD Mom and the Naturally Fit Sisters.  I love trying new fuel and receiving new ornaments for my tiny Christmas tree. It also seemed like a great opportunity to make a new blogger friend!

I was paired up with Esther from Chocolate Runner Girl to virtually meet each other and then send each other our favorite winter FITness fuel and a FABulous ornament.

Once I saw Esther's blog name, I knew we'd hit it off- who doesn't love chocolate and running?!

We both aren't big fans of the cold-even though now she has escaped it by moving down south after living in many different places in her life! We both like the same types of foods, movies, travelling, cooking & baking, and running!

Esther is an EnergyBits ambassador so that's her usually pre-workout fuel. I have tried EnergyBits and struggled with the taste so she suggested grinding them up and adding them to smoothies.

We both also love to fuel up with almond butter and bananas along with various types of snack & protein bars.

When I got my package this week I loved the decorative wrapping and the sweet card.

I opened it up and found not one but six fab small ornaments-each with a different race distance on them.  I loved that they were brightly colored too!

Esther also sent me a fabulous assortment of fuel including some of my favorites like Chocolate GU, a dark chocolate nuts & sea salt KIND bar, and a chocolate peppermint stick LUNA bar (which I had just posted about here!).

I also am really excited to try the Trader Joe's Fruit bars in flavors Apple + Strawberry and Apple + Mango because I have never had those before.

It was such a great package to receive and definitely brightened my week. I immediately added the ornaments to my Christmas tree and think they look great.

  3. 90% of my "ornaments" are actually key chains from all the places I've visited. It's so fun to put them on my wee 4' tree and remember all the fun moments I've had in all sorts of cities across Canada and the US.
