#Keepittight with Pro Compression {Review & Discount}

Disclosure: Through a partnership with Fit Approach as a Sweat Pink Ambassador and Pro Compression, I received a complimentary pair of black marathon calf sleeves .All other Pro Compression gear mentioned and pictured was purchased previously by me.  As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I've become a huge fan of compression gear for recovery and have been using it ever since I trained for my first half marathon.  I usually wear the socks or sleeves for long runs, races, and post-run recovery. After trying a few different styles, the ones I wear the most are Pro Compression, so I was excited to officially review a pair of their Marathon Calf Sleeves.

 Pro Compression sells calf sleeves, over the calf compression socks, mid socks, low socks, and other active wear.  The true graduated compression in Pro Compression products promotes circulation from your feet and ankles toward your knees while also reducing inflammation and providing stability to muscles and tendons.  The bottom of the sock is tighter than the top to promote this flow.

They are definitely the tightest compression sleeves and socks I own, which sometimes makes getting them on or off interesting to say the least.

 Basically, for runners and athletes it can help reduce soreness and aid in performance. That's something that is always welcome in my book.

Previously I have purchased both their socks and calf sleeves for myself.  I prefer running in the calf sleeves for longer distances because I find my feet sometimes become uncomfortable in the full sock when they swell during a run.  My go-to is to run in the calf sleeves and recover in the sock.

Clearly my favorite Pro Compression gear to run in are my bright pink marathon calf sleeves.

They even got me through my first full marathon last year!

I wore the black marathon calf sleeves I was sent for an easy run during the week, recovery after a hill workout, a long training run, and this past weekend's 18-mile run.

The science is complex and some of the studies done on compression aren't overwhelming proof that it helps with recovery, but from personal experience I believe it does. I think they definitely helped most with my recovery after a tough hill workout by making my calves less sore and help after long runs like this past weekend's 18 miler.

  1. I love my calf sleeves and I wear them everywhere...after my run. I may try running in them again in the fall/winter but in the sweltering summer heat it just wasn't happening!!

  2. Pro compression seems to be a very popular brand. I have the ZXU brand and I don't know if it's because I have had them for awhile, but I am not feeling a difference anymore when I wear them. I should try the pro compression brand. ~L

    1. The Pro Compression socks are definitely tighter than others I've tried, and I haven't noticed them getting stretched out even after multiple washes. Use the discount code and give a pair a try!

  3. I love my Pro Compression sleeves! They are so soft compared to other brands. I just ordered some socks and was sent the wrong color, but customer service was so nice and I bet I'll have the right color tomorrow. I'm excited to try out the socks. Thanks for the code, because now I have an excuse to buy more :)

  4. I've never tried the calf sleeve before but I've used the socks. They get really hot so this might be a great alternative. Thanks for the review and the pink ones are my favourite too :)

  6. Lauren, I resisted the compression craze for a long time; just couldn't figure it all out, I guess. Now that I have a couple of pair of Pro Compression marathon socks, I can't live without them! I wear them after long/tough runs and I do notice a difference in my recovery. Great post and thanks for the discount code!
