Very Inspired Blogger Award + Froyo and Delta Labs Green Tea + Flash Giveaway!

Did you see my Chi Marathon training update yesterday?

Recently I was nominated for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award by Sweaty Mess Mama which is amazing. I didn't know she was a reader of mine, and I'm glad to hear she thinks I'm inspiring! Sometimes I forget that more than 5 people sometimes read this blog!
So these are the award rules:
  • Thank and link to the person who nominated you
  • List the rules and display the award.(Voila!)
  • Share seven facts about yourself.
  • Nominate 15 other amazing blogs and comment on their posts to let them know they have been nominated.

7 Facts about Lauren

  1. I love pancakes and waffles. Breakfast for dinner is always acceptable.
  2. I'm a huge Francophile and was a French minor in college.
  3.  I always save room for dessert
  4. If Sex and the City is on TV, I watch it-even though I've seen every episode at least 10 times. (i.e. this weekend, haha)
  5. I don't really own matching workout/running clothes. I should buy some more matching outfits.
  6. I'm easily scared and pretty jumpy. Yeah, not a fan of scary movies.
  7. My feet are always cold-I usually need to sleep with socks!

A bonus fact is that I love ice cream. Sunday was apparently National Ice Cream Day, and I missed out! WHAT?! So last night I made Chocolate Covered Katie's recipe for Brownie Batter Frozen Yogurt with plain Greek yogurt and a whole ton of mini chocolate chips with my ice cream maker.
OH yeah.
It was SO amazing that I still don't believe it was a healthy, protein-packed dessert.
That means it's okay for for me to eat 3/4 of the batch, obviously

I read too many awesome blogs to choose from so I'm nominating my readers (Yes, YOU!) to tell me a fact about yourselves in a comment below!

  1. Sooo let's plan on having lots of pancake dates after long runs now that I'll be living downtown. Slash you can run your 20 miles and I'll cap out around 10 and still eat all the pancakes ;)

  7. I love pancakes and waffles, too :) Except, I've been favoring french toast lately - with lots of cinnamon! Random fact: we got an ice cream maker 2 years ago as a wedding gift and we still haven't used it... So bad!

    1. Ah it's been a while since I've had French toast, which is equally as delicious! This ice cream maker was a gift-it takes up a lot of space but I'm determined to use it more. I just always forget to freeze the bowl part before I want to make some!

  16. I have spent the last 2 hours reading healthy lifestyle blogs, while drinking a coke (dreaming of chips and dip with a side of chocolate) and telling myself I need to do this. All while knowing I won't give up overeating (I'm a major food addict) and start riding my bike.

    1. It's all good. I'm usually not working out and eating real deal pancakes or something while I read about what all these healthy people are doing. Start with something little and set small goals for yourself! The hardest part for me is getting dressed to go workout!
