Shoofly Diner Baltimore and a Weekend of REV Cycle Studio Events

Thanks for all the love on my blog news! Also thanks for entering my LesserEvil giveaway, the winner was Danielle B.!
Life is crazy busy with a bunch of missed workouts this week, but it isn't the end of the world.

Last night was my boyfriend and I's four year anniversary so we went out to dinner at Shoofly Diner in Baltimore, owned by the infamous Chef Spike Gjerde  of  Woodberry Kitchen and Artifact Coffee.  We'd eaten here when it first opened, and I thought a less stuffy and expensive dinner would be perfect for our date night. I adore the rustic yet chic diner decor of the restaurant along with it's delicious cocktails and food.   My boyfriend and I had eyes bigger than our stomachs and ended up boxing some of the food up/left stuffed.  Here's a little photo recap of our awesome meal!

ShooflyDiner_poutine
My boyfriend and I polished off this bowl of disco fries topped with a dippy egg (my favorite!). By the way, my boyfriend randomly found a little pebble in our fries, and everyone at Shoofly was super apologetic and more than made up for it!

ShooflyDiner_scrapplesandwich
My "Scrappledelphia" sandwich with apples and onions and cheese. You can take the girl out of Philly but you can't take the Philly out of the girl :)
ShooflyDiner_salad
I ordered a side of roasted beets with chimichurri sauce, and we split an amazing kale caesar salad with cornbread croutons and an oyster caesar dressing!
ShooflyDiner_cocktail
I loved the little punch glass that my 4 o'clock Manhattan Punch was served in!
ShooflyDiner_dessert
Because it was our anniversary we were brought not the one dessert we ordered-but all three!  This was pretty much my heaven because clearly dessert is my favorite thing.
We got the paw-paw brownie sundae (which we had ordered), shoofly pie (my boyfriend's favorite) and the chocolate chiffon pie. The chocolate pie was my favorite-it was like a rich chocolate mousse topped with whipped cream. I'm calling dibs on those leftovers!
Dinner was followed by a couple silly selfies and Netflix :)
If you're looking for something fun and fitness-filled to do this weekend REV Cycle Studio in Baltimore is having an event-filled weekend starting with tonight's  REV.LIVE.RIDE event at 6 PM where owner Esther and my friend Deidre will be teaching a 90-minute cycle charity class benefiting Angels Among Us supporting The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor followed by happy hour at World of Beer. I'll be out of town tonight, but it seems like an awesome time for a good cause!

There is another fun event on Saturday (3/22) that I'm hoping to make at 2 PM again with my friend Deirdre called REV & RUN. There is a 45-minute cycle class followed by a discussion on tips for how to run after spinning along with a Fun Run from 1-3.1 miles.  Under Armour will also be there with demos of their Speedform Apollo shoe which you can try out on the Fun Run. Under Armour off free gear for REV & RUN participants and shoe-testers! You know I love shoe demos and giveaways!

More information and pricing are available here for both events.

If you are a newbie cyclist or it's just been a while, check out my post for tips on taking a spin class!

What are your weekend plans? Are you a fruity or chocolate dessert person?

Oh, and remember how I told you I was going to the 90 minute ride tonight? Yea... that was before I realized my keys got left at home in NH and I had no way to get to my car at the airport haha oh well...
